Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate

Sodium stearoyl glutamate is a hypo allergenic amino acid produced from glutamic acid and plant (palm or coconut) fatty acids. With a pH similar to that of the skin, sodium stearoyl glutamate is used a very gentle, yet effective moisturising component. In our Facial Exfoliant it also helps to keep water and oil components mixed for the perfect formulation.

Avocado Oil

Loaded with nutrients, avocado oil is the moisture-boosting, skin-strengthening solution to a healthy, youthful-looking face.As well having anti-inflammatory effects that soothe blemishes and acne, vitamins C and E join forces with antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin to fight free radicals and increase suppleness. Carotenoids help the skin build stronger structures while improving brightness. And oleic acid, vitamins D and E, and a nutrient called D-mannoheptulose encourage cell turnover and collagen production, processes that slow down with age.

Kiwifruit

With high doses of vitamins E and C (one kiwifruit has more vitamin C than an orange!), kiwifruits have the power to naturally refresh, revive and firm skin. As well as balancing your pH level for maximum rejuvenation, kiwifruits work to neutralise free radicals, which helps prevent dark spots and promote a smooth, even complexion.

Ground Avocado Seed

Ground avocado seeds are a great way to gently buff away dead cells to reveal the new skin beneath. They are also rich in powerful antioxidants and have a natural antibacterial effect that helps dissolve impurities and excess oil, leaving your skin feeling incredibly clean and healthy and looking brighter and more refined.

Citric Acid

Citric Acid has protective antioxidant, and corrective anti-aging effects helping to reverse visible signs of skin damage. Citric Acid works by exfoliating the upper layer of dead skin cells to help clean pores, even skin tone and soften and smooth the skin. It encourages skin cell turnover and is also a good source of antioxidants for your cleansed skin.

For me I find it too gentle and prefer an exfoliation with more… exfoliant… It doesn’t feel much different to the cleanser – which I love.

I use this once a week but could probably increase to twice a week as it’s not super scratchy. I use on my neck as well as face and my skin feels clean and my usual blackheads look a lot better.
